Lou & Carole Prato Sports Reporting Scholarship
With more than 30 years service to Radio Television Digital News Association (RTDNA), Louis F. Prato has served as a secretary of the RTDNF Board of Trustees and was a treasurer of the RTDNA Board of Directors for more than twenty years. In recognition to his valuable service to RTDNA and his commitment to journalism, the $1000 Lou and Carole Prato Sports Reporting Scholarship started in 2001. This scholarship will be awarded to a journalism student who incorporates Lou’s journalism values in sports coverage. In order to be eligible for the scholarship, the applicant must be enrolled in a college and have at least one full academic year left. The student must be a fully enrolled college sophomore or higher to be eligible for scholarship. Application deadline for this scholarship is May 31, 2014.
