GE fund and GM Fund LULAC Scholarship Program

The General Electric Scholarship and the General Motors Scholarship are two separate scholarships provided by the LULAC National Educational Service Centers. These scholarships are intended to assist and encourage outstanding minority students in completing their college education. The program is directed specifically to minority students with career interests in business or engineering. The GE/LULAC Scholarship Program is open to Sophomores through Seniors in College interested in business or engineering majors this scholarship awards two $5000 scholarships. The General Motors/LULAC Scholarship is open to Freshmen through Seniors in College interseted in engineering majors this scholarship awards 20 $2000 scholarships.

Eastman Scholarship Program

Each year, the Eastman Scholarship Program provides awards of up to $5,000 for tuition/fees or production related expenses for one school year. Colleges and universities may nominate two students for awards every academic year, and portfolio reviews should be part of the selection process.

The Science Talent Search (STS) was created in 1942 to encourage talented high school students to pursue careers in science, math, engineering, or medicine. If continued accolades are a measure of success, the contest has met its goal. Some 70 percent of Science Talent Search finalists have gone on to earn either PhD or MD degrees.
